Reduced price until March 31

If you make your hotel reservation before March 31st, you can book your room for a reduced price: 80&eur; for a standard room, 90&eur; for a deluxe room. Both prices include breakfast.

Danubius Hotel Helia is a four-star conference and spa hotel, with excellent conference facilities and pleasant wellness facilities. It is a place where it is possible to combine business with relaxation.

There will be seven conference rooms available for the TMCE 2014 Symposium, with daylight and air-conditioning. The plenary session will be in the Helia Conference Room, with a seating capacity of 400 persons.

Located on the bank of the Danube, facing Margaret Island, the hotel is some 10 minutes from the historical city center, and half an hour driving (26km) from the Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport. There is a spacious car and bus parking lot just outside the hotel.

More than 100 rooms have preliminary been reserved for the participants of TMCE 2014 until the end of March, please indicate that you are a TMCE 2014 participant when you book your room. Note that participants should arrange their reservation directly with the hotel. Accommodation is not included in the Symposium registration fee.

Social program

The Organizing Committee is busy and practically ready with the arrangement of a very attractive and entertaining social program for each day of the jubilee TMCE 2014 Symposium.

On the first day, we will have an Early Bird Reception on the roof terrace of the Danubius Hotel Helia with a spectacular view on the Danube and Margaret Island.

In the next evening, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will offer a reception in their beautiful building, which will be followed by a Budapest-by-Night bus tour in the city, visiting the most famous attractions of the Capital of Hungary.

As usual, Wednesday evening is reserved for the Gala Dinner, preceded by the Chairman Reception in the balcony of the Danubius Hotel Helia. The Symposium participants and their spouses can try out the best of the Hungarian kitchen and enjoy live musical intermezzos, entertaining by many famous pieces of Hungarian classical music.

For the cultural evening on Thursday, a Budapest-by-Night boat trip on the Danube has been arranged. I addition to enjoying the wonderful night scenery from the river, you may learn Hungarian folk songs and dance. Do not miss it - it is going to be a great fun! For those, who are shy to participate in singing and dancing, some encouragement drinks will be offered from the best Hungarian wine samples. The task of selecting wines has been delegated to the executive chairman, whose scientific rigor is well-known.

On Friday, the organizers will be pleased to take the participants to the panoramic Danube Bend, to visit the castle of Visegrá and to enjoy Szentendre.s scenery and famous art museums.

Many more entertaining functions will be offered in the form of spouse programs and a post-symposium tour, which are however not included in the standard registration fee.
